Synopsis

The section is devoted to the scientific and applied problem of managing economic uncertainty using foresight. The latter provides an opportunity to shape the image of the future and create it today. To answer the question of how foresight becomes a tool for public management of economic uncertainty, a modern interpretation of its content has been studied. Examples of foresight use and methods used in the practice of different countries are analyzed. The stages of formation of a foresight are defined. Based on the analysis of the already existing experience of Ukrainian foresight projects, a generalization is made about the features of the Ukrainian foresight, appropriate areas of its application and development. The option of using foresight to prevent the creation of an unattractive image of the Ukrainian future, in particular through the curtailment of market competition, is considered.
