In conditions of economic crisis and unstable socio-political situation in the country, the activities of domestic higher education institutions are constantly directly or indirectly affected by various threats that are formed in the external and internal environment and are systemic in nature. A feature of threats in the field of education is their dynamic nature due to the emergence of new transformations of threats. The mechanism of the impact of these threats on the activities, development and economic security of higher education institutions by interacting with all components of the internal environment and areas of educational and research activities of higher education institutions is also changing.
In order to comprehensively counter all existing and possible threats, a higher education institution must have an effective system of economic security.
A special role in the system of economic security of higher education institutions belongs to the internal subsystem, due to the peculiarities of the activities of higher education institutions and the need for constant monitoring of compliance with licensing requirements for educational activities.
