Synopsis

One of the largest sectors in any country in the world is education, which requires the lion's share of public resources to implement the objectives of educational policy.
A separate scientific field "education economics" studies the interdependence of education and economics. In economic theory, this is one of the youngest areas of interdisciplinary research, which appeared in the second half of the twentieth century. Initially, researchers were interested in the relationship between education and economic growth. Somewhat later, education began to be seen as an investment sphere that gives a certain return throughout the lives of individuals, and closer to the end of the 90's, education became "one of the industries", along with other sectors of the economy. During this period, researchers-economists analyzed the resources of education, the productive function of education, the impact on the country's economy, the formation of human capital and others.
