The monograph highlights theoretical approaches to solving current problems of modern understanding of food security as a complex multilevel system. A study of the evolution of terminological interpretation of food security in economic doctrines. Based on the peculiarities of its modern development, the paradigm of food security of the national economy is proposed. Methodological bases of food safety assessment are revealed. Much attention is paid to the systematic method of food safety research using a scenario approach based on FCM-models. The current state of production and consumption of agri-food products is analyzed. The level of food self-sufficiency of the regions has been assessed.
