Synopsis

The manual examines the legislation of Ukraine in the field of mediation, development trends and principles of mediation in Ukraine. The program “Master in Mediation and Conflict Management” of the KROK Business School is described. The status of a mediator is disclosed, the requirements, training and register of mediators are analyzed. The principles of professional ethics of mediators are determined and attention is focused on the Code of Ethics of a Mediator of the KROK Business School. The procedures of mediation, the features of preparation for mediation, conducting mediation and the status of the parties, the completion of mediation and the formalization of the results of mediation are disclosed. The models and styles of mediation are characterized, and mediation techniques are defined. A separate section is devoted to mediator documents with a proposal of relevant samples. The manual will be useful for persons studying to be mediators, practicing mediators and other persons interested in the field of mediation and conflict resolution.
